Types of Water 💧

~ Sea Water: Mostly used in healing and cleansing rituals. Also, sea water can be used to cleanse crystals (but be careful, some crystals/stones aren’t for sea water).

~ Storm Water: Spells and rituals that associate with emotional strength, change, and force. It also helps with cures, as well.

~ Snow Water: Spells and rituals tha focus on purity, ending and change, also for slow working spells.

~ River Water: Spells and rituals that deal with moving on, focusing, breaking through rough paths, and warding. Great for powering!

~ Rain Water: Has many, many, many purposes, but especially great for growth and rebirth spells. Also great for gaining power.

~ Dew Water: I recommend this for love and fertility spells, as well as delicate magic. Also great for fae work.

a spell to attract other witches

spellcraftbaby:

this spell is for the solitary witch; it creates an aura around you that attracts witches, as well as hones your psychic mind to find witches when you’re out and about. best done during a full moon. you will need:

✦ a small pouch or bag

✦  a bell

✦  st. john’s wort (protection against evil magic, clairvoyance, general magic)

✦  sugar (good energy, attraction, summoning)

✦  cloves (gaining what is sought, energy)

1.  after casting your circle, turn to the four corners/directions of your magick space and ring the bell to announce yourself and call the attention of the energy around you.

2. hold the cloves in your hands. inhale their scent and meditate for a moment about the power of your own witchcraft, and imagine it projecting further and further out, making it noticeable to witches who are perceptive to energies. as you do this, the cloves will help carry that energy for you. place some of the cloves in the pouch and set the rest aside.

3. hold a bit of st. john’s wort in your hands and hone in on your own clairvoyance and intuition. whisper to the st. john’s wort that you wish to strengthen your perception of other witches. place some in the pouch and set the rest aside.

4. to complete the ritual, sprinkle some sugar onto your tongue to bring good energy and summon what you seek from the spell. sprinkle the rest of the cloves and st. john’s wort outside your house, and carry the pouch with you.

For the bedridden witches who hear the call of the seas.

  • Burn sea/beach scented candles.
  • Listen to background sounds like waves or the wind.
  • Make macrame strands that have glass beads or sea glass in them.
  • SEA. SALT. Just keep a jar of sea salt around for any of your needs and to feel connected!
  • Make a simple salt water spray to cleanse your space.
  • Create an altar/shelf dedicated to the sea.
  • Keep beach and ocean themed pictures, paintings and postcards around your room.
  • Make a sand garden.
  • Hold a glass of water on your hands, and focus on how the water is/has been connected to the ocean.
  • Create a sideblog for all your ocean needs. Can double as an altar!
  • Keep a collection of sea shells and invest in a shell field guide!
  • Watch ocean documentaries.
  • Keep crystals like opal, quartz, selenite, blue calcite, ocean jasper, and labradorite around.
  • Create a bottle filled with things that remind you of the ocean. Here’s mine.
  • Write/read poetry about the sea.
  • I really like using ocean waves as a way to clear my mind when I need to calm down/start meditating. Use meditation to connect to the ocean!
  • Hang flowing curtains from the ceiling - light turquoise and white.
  • Learn about the lore and mythology related around the ocean.
  • Whisper sweet nothing towards the sea - it doesn’t matter how far away it is!
  • The moon phases directly interact with the ocean. Keep track of them!
  • Draw sigils designed to connect you to the ocean.
  • Get a little fish tank (only if this feels manageable to you of course!) and keep it in your room.
  • Do seashell divination
  • Decorate with beach/seaside decor - rustic wood, shells, blown glass, etc.
  • Connect with any deities of the ocean/sea (for me that includes Amphitrite, Poseidon and Ceto).
  • Make/wear seashell or pearl jewelry.
  • Listen to music that makes you feel like you’re standing in front of the ocean.
  • When it’s windy or downpour rain, allow it to take you to the sea. Feel the raw energy. Open the window a crack if you can!
  • This is a great resource for some sea witching ideas!
